Mitral Valve Sewing Ring
The purpose of this project was to design a custom mitral valve sewing cushion that fits to the specific anatomy of the patient
Phase 1: Segmentation in Slicer
Used 3D slicer image computing platform to extract the mitral valve using different viewing planes and cutting tools in 3D viewer.
Phase 2: Export to CAD and Design Sewing Ring
Exported mitral valve to Fusion 360 as an stl file and designed a 3D sewing ring around the mitral valve to be used during a heart valve transplant
